- ■ Presently Dr. Rita Carvalho, as legal adviser of BRIGHT & RIGHT for Brazil and Latin America, is responsible for the Latin American and Brazil Desk in BRIGHT & RIGHT, acting as liaison with those international clients. Building the bridge of possibilities for this south-south new cooperation between China - Brazil & Latin America, she can offer legal counsel not only to Brazilian & Latin American Investors in China, but also to Chinese Enterprises planning to invest in those countries.
- ■ Previously Dr. Carvalho with her own Law office heads its M&A Group activities working as associated Lawyer to international and local partners responsible for handling international clients from Latin America, Brazil, Germany and Spain. In Germany she was an associated Attorney-at-law with Roemmerman Rechtsanwaelte and Int’l Trade Manager for a German global SME in the pharmaceuticals and dental industry working in Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus and Latin America. Her practice involves mergers and acquisitions, establishment of joint ventures, international contract law, including SFDA certificate process intermediation, as well as outsourcing business consulting. She had also developed and implemented global SME strategies, organizing Business Missions to China. She received her B.A. in Law at Catholic University in Brazil, and her LL.M. and PhD in international Law (Dr. iur des Rechtes) in Germany at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. She is an active member of several domestic and international associations, such as Brazilian Bar Association, Women Lawyers’ Association, World Trade Academy Association, German & Brazilian Lawyers’ Association, Unternehmensglobalisierung, Sustainable Trading Business, Regulatory Affairs International, M&A and PE between China and Europe, Global Exchange, Chinese Chamber for foreign business and many others.
